Amid the announcement of dean Skinns yesterday, it also mentioned they are looking to bring in a young Brit D man (my money is on Dan Lackey from the Buffalo) Smiley

If he signs that would only bring us to 6 as Tosh is playing as fwd this season.

Its pretty much only in Britain out of the more well known ice hockey countries that teams dont have at least 6/7 D men all the time in a team line up.If he proved to be good enough that would give us 3 pairs which would be ideal.

Rostock ran 8 d one season a few years back, good job we have long benches.

I'm with Pete, if we're signing someone it'll be Dan Lackey.  He'll likely see no pp time and maybe the odd bit of pk time but all experience is good experience I suppose.

If it is Lackey. Also get the feeling he'll also play for the Buff, but reckon he'll be registered with the Buff & we use him when they haven't got a game.

PS anyone know how many games ENL players are allowed to play up at EPL level? Shocked

Not sure how many 2 ways you can have but if Lackey's under 21 there's no limit to the number of games he can move between the 2 sides.  Jamie Line's on a similar deal with MK Thunder I believe.  He'll play for the Lightning as and when he can.
